Arthurdale is a community that was developed during the ''new deal'' under the administration of Franklin d. Roosevelt. It was an personal earmark Effort of Eleanor Roosevelt who took charge of the project. The community was built and designed to improve the living standards of nearby local miners and their families who lived in squalid conditions. The families were Given modern housing on 2 acre plots so they could farm and

provide food and income for their families. Of the slightly over 100 homes built for the project in the 1930's almost all of them remain
|
standing; Many of them are in almost original condition. I live in one of the homes here and I am admittedly very skeptical of paranormal activity.
However there are things that have happened here that I have no natural explanation for. I've glimpsed faint balls of light dart into dark rooms heard footsteps and soft voices when Home alone; our garage has the unmistakable feeling of someone watching when you enter it even in the daytime. I
