You could assume that Augusta, West Virginia is exactly the same as any other city in the United States, but this city is haunted by struggling ghosts of the past. Phantoms are so usual here; a lot of people who live here don’t even think about it anymore. Disbelievers don't believe in the local ghost descriptions, but with so many ghosts in Augusta you have a pretty nice chance of observing one if you stay for the night here.

The ghost of a security guard with a bullet hole in his forehead is known to have been seen on frequent instances mid stream in Bearwallow Creek scooping out a hollow.

The ghost of a guy in a military uniform can occasionally be made out staring at the water by Boone Farms Lake Dam at the stroke of midnight.

An old knight's armor with no human inside has repeatedly been witnessed seeking a map in Bell Hollow before sunrise. People argue
that this spirit enjoys frightening unwise folks who come searching for spirits in Augusta.

The spirit of a female with a sack tied around her head is regularly perceived up on the summit of Bens Knob sipping orange juice. One of the local residents determinedly claims that this spirit could be the spirit of a local who died here in Augusta many years ago.

A large menacing ghost is rumored to have been distinguished on several instances washing a bloody jacket in Beall Spring in the early morning hours. A number of of the folks who live in this town assert this spirit is probably the tormented spirit of a person who used to have a house here in Augusta.
