Barboursville, West Virginia Ghost Tales  I was in Guyan Estates swinging in the neighborhood park there. It was almost sunrise when I saw someone standing by the gate. My sight was obstructed due to the height of my swinging so I only saw the image on my way up. It looked like a short woman with long brown hair and a white tank top, not a little girl but a very short woman. When I slowed the swing down and jumped off I looked and only saw her for a split second before the image vanished before my eyes. No one seems to think what I saw was a spirit but I am convinced it was. This was 4yrs ago and early in the morning . I was so upset by what I saw I called 911. I even turned around in the middle of the interstate to go back and find her. The state highway patrol even drove around several times. Maybe 5 to 10 min. had passed by the time       I got turned around and the police showed up. But she was no where in sight. I think about that every time I go to the mall. The ghost of a flight attendant was distinguished being carried by a donkey down a highway in close proximity to Barboursville. Further accounts of this ghost have been reported. The ghost of an elderly cleaning lady was noticed at Hatfield Lake Dam in the early morning hours looking at the landscape. Numerous folks in close proximity have had comparable events with a quite similar phantom. The spirit of a young-looking female clothed as a maid materialized trying to articulate something in the middle of Hagley Creek. This is one of those ghosts that is observed repeatedly nearby. Based on what the locals assert, this ghost is that of a local who had a house here in Barboursville before the present.
