These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently.

The ghost of a teen girl can be seen frequently throwing pieces of wood into the flowing water at Armstrong Creek late in the night. One of the locals determinedly argues that this ghost is probably the tormented ghost of a local who used to live here in Deep Water.

A shape with a skeleton face in gloomy robes has every now and then been made out on the apex of Armstrong Mountain at the stroke of midnight looking at the view. A number of of the folks who live in this town claim this phantom is the undead soul of an old Deep Water local resident.

A female with a spear in her head has allegedly been witnessed
 
    on many occasions smoking a cigar by a secluded highway near Deep Water in the early morning hours. It's been said that this individual ghost is the ghost of a traveler that was murdered while journeying through Deep Water some decades ago. In any case, this is a bad spirit that any sound person would not want to run into.

A wandering phantom
  was distinguished washing a bloody pair of pants in Kanawha Falls at night. This particular ghost has been seen repeatedly in this location.

The ghost of a youthful Indian fighter materialized at night checking out Black Gum Hollow in detail. There are additional tales on the subject of this ghost in the neighborhood. If you talk to the folks who live here, this spirit is that of a local resident who had a house here in Deep Water some decades ago.
