My family lived and some are still living there today and are buried on Dingess mountain. As a child we would drive through the tunnel in the back of my uncles pick up truck. I did feel the essence of it being haunted but at no time did I ever see or hear anything out of the ordinary.
I did hear the stories of the slaves, but never anything about a murder suicide. If you do like the tunnel it's best to stay out. My family is buried above
the Dingess tunnel and my request is to let them be and rest in peace and stay off of Dingess mountain.|

My names is Deborah. My mother's family owned Dingess mountain. If you go up that long steep dirt road the first house you would run into belonged to her brother bill and his wife and kids. The second house belonged to her mother and she was raised in that house.
The next house you would run into belonged to her bother lawerence and his wife and kids. Up and turning to the left around the bin was a house that belonged to her sister (dorothy) and his husband and kids.
My mother along with her mother is buried on that mountain. The kids are a live and grown now and I haven't been in touch with them in years although other members of my family have. It wouldn't shock me that anyone saw ghost there because you are disturbing the people that lived on that mountain and are buried there.
