If you go up to where the old park is in Dingess and go up the dirt road following it, you will eventually run into a white house with a barn (the house is halfway torn down and partially grey due to the age).
This house is said to be haunted after a woman beat and hanged 3 people here and then shot herself. This place isn't somewhere you want to be!.

There are several ghosts that linger in the Dingess Tunnel that was built in the early 1900's, many were slaves that were forced to build the tunnel, several died after falling from the top.

Comment by Theresa: While I don't dispute the idea that the Dingess Tunnel may be haunted I would just like to point out that most sources say the tunnel was actually built around 1892. Either way late 1800s or early 1900s slavery had already been abolished making the idea of slave labor to build the tunnel erroneous.
However it does appear that African-Americans did work on the tunnel and were persecuted and even murdered by white residents.
