Monday July 13th, an experience occurred. We headed down to historic Harper's Ferry district to have dinner and sight-see. After eating at the secret six tavern, leaving at approx. 8:00 pm, we headed down to the river.
We fed some geese, skipped some stones, and collected some rocks. At 8:23 we headed back to our car. We stopped at the memorial of a man I believe was called Robert sheperd engraved on a big stone next to a hotel I think was called the Johnston inn.
We had parked 20 feet away and headed towards our car. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a man dressed in a old-fashioned black suit, black shoes, and had black hair. I could not see a face, any eyes, or mouth.|
He seemed to be in his early 40's late 50's, and was white. Most people whirl completely around to see apparitions, I only turned my head when I saw him. I believe because of this he did not disappear immediately.
I had no dread or any physical / emotional symptoms at all. I felt like he was a living average Joe, but from another time. He vanished after we got to our car. I am telling the honest-to-god truth.
If you are there at night try to look at the memorial out of the corner of your eye. No lie, this guy is real just not alive anymore. He seems non-violent but also seems very solemn when he stares at the memorial.
