Holden, West Virginia Ghost Tales


You may well imagine that Holden, West Virginia is exactly equal to any other town in the US, but beneath the surface there are outlandish things happening. Ghosts are so routine here; a lot of locals don’t even lose sleep about it anymore. Folks who have never spent the night in this municipality will tell you it's all myths, but the undead spirits of Holden are all too real.

These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently.

A woman with her head and right arm and left leg removed can be noticed very often by Aldrich Branch turning toward the watcher. Several of those who live here assert this phantom is the phantom of a traveler that was killed while journeying through Holden some decades ago.

The spirit of a gentleman gripping a blood-splattered knife has sometimes been seen by Mud Fork Refuse Dam very late at night staring at the water. One thing is for certain, it unquestionably is a bloodcurdling spirit that you do not want to bump into late in the night.

    wandering about devoid of a body in it is every so often made out on the apex of Cabin Hill around midnight examining the landscape.

The ghost of a critically charred woman has purportedly been observed on numerous instances showing up in a restroom mirror.

The ghost of a train driver can once in a while be witnessed around midnight following
  a passing Jeep on a murky highway in the vicinity of Holden. It has been argued that this exact phantom is that of a local who lived here in Holden a long time ago. Either way, this ghost certainly is chilling; one that you shouldn't go trying to locate.
