In the winter of 2001 I was paid to house-sit for a man in Huntington. His house was on Washington Street (but I do not remember the exact address). It was a lovely historic 2-story home. Within the first few days of my staying there a couple light bulbs burned out but I did not think much of it other than that it was inconvenient.(for instance the back deck light burned out and the back deck was how I would enter the house. So when I got home late at night I would have to walk through pitch blackness. ) one evening I came home to find a kitchen cabinet wide open. This made no sense since I never used the kitchen. (I stayed at my uncle's house during the day and made my meals there. ) I checked to see if the cabinet could have easily fallen open but when I shut it it stuck fast. It would take some force to pull it open so there was no reason it should have fallen open on it's own.
I dismissed this incident until the following evening when I came home to find that a cabinet on the hutch at the top of the stairs was wide open. I never used the hutch so there was no reason for this either. Now I was a little nervous so I chose to sleep in the living room that night instead of one of the upstairs bedrooms. The living room had a dimmer switch that controlled it's ceiling light and I turned it on low so I could sleep but still have light. I closed my eyes and maybe dozed for about 45 minutes. I opened them to find the living room light had gone out. I lay terrified for a good 20 minutes before I finally had the nerve to get up and see what had happened. When I checked the dimmer switch it appeared that it had simply been turned down. I was able to turn it back up to where I had originally had it.
Realizing that the dimmer switch had been turned down on it's own I was so scared I actually left and spent the remainder of the night at my uncle's house. Having only one more night to fulfill my house-sitting obligations I had a friend stay over with me the next night. There was no unexplained activity. When the owner of the house returned I told him what had happened in his absence. He said nothing like that had ever taken place when he was in the house. I have no idea what was up but that's my story.

One of my first apt. 's was in the Prichard in apt. 1003 on the 10th floor.. I lived here over a period of one year and repeatedly experienced issues with this apt. Glasses (drinking) would shatter one by one over a period of a cpl weeks until I had none any longer.
