The intruder did not speak to me, but he walked down the center aisle of the basement level. When I followed to confront/chase out the intruder there was nobody there, and there was only a locked door to my backyard. It remains a mystery, but I suspect that the 'intruder' was the spirit of a deceased coal miner who had died in or underneath the home where I was living back then.

Comment by Lauren: I lived in a house on Raleigh Street as a child, and I have a very vague memory of seeing something similar. My mother remembers me seeing the man as well.|
Comment by Lauren: Also I just asked my mom about it, and she said ''I told her he had white hair and a beard.'' I was in my bedroom upstairs, and she was downstairs cooking. After I yelled to tell her ''a man was in my room'' she searched all over the house, and every door was locked. It would have been '86-'87. If you'd like to discuss further, feel free to reach out LKW80@carolina.rr.com. Now I'm obsessed with knowing more!!.
