While the sun shines you might assume Rainelle, West Virginia is precisely equal to any other town, but this is a town where the undeceased stagger the streets during the dark hours. The undeceased are all over this settlement as the local residents will say to you. Not everybody believes in the tales the local residents tell, but seeing is believing and if you stay for the night here in Rainelle, you could witness a phantom.

A black as coal crow that transformed into a female is often seen hovering over Chestnut Flat very late at night.

The ghost of a young woman dressed as a house keeper
  has been said to have been distinguished on a small number of occasions late in the night marveling at The Loop. In any event, this ghost sure is menacing; one that you do not want to bump into late in the night.

The ghost of a young cowboy may often be seen gazing at the water by Monclo Slurry Dam at midnight. A number of of the people who live here argue this ghost is probably the struggling ghost of a local resident who used to dwell here in Rainelle. No matter what, it's a bloodcurdling ghost that you shouldn't go seeking.

A bloodcurdling beast may be seen very frequently up on the peak of Allen Knob glugging down paint. If you talk to the local residents, this ghost is the struggling soul of a long gone Rainelle person who lived here. One thing is for sure, it's undoubtedly a terrifying ghost that should be stayed away from.
