Men in Black, or aliens, were seen on Shannon's Knob above West Union in the 1960s. They were measuring a circular spot in the ground. A UFO had earlier been witnessed hovering over the area.

You could assume that there's nothing strange on the subject of West Union, West Virginia, but if you are easily startled, you'd better not come this location during the night. Night hour is undeceased time here. Folks who have never spent a night in this town will inform you it's superstition, but there really are frightening things taking place here in West Union in the night
 
    time.

These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently.

The ghost of a plane pilot is repeatedly observed cleaning a blood-covered shirt in Hunter Stansberry
  Spring at midnight. One of the residents definitely declares that this ghost is the ghost of a visitor that was murdered while driving through West Union some time ago.

The terrifying ghost of a Barbarian has allegedly been witnessed on one or two instances looking at the vista at Crystal Lake Dam at the stroke of midnight.

A guy that transformed into a vampire can be made out time and again before dawn floating down Arnold Creek. Several of the folks here argue this ghost enjoys terrifying unwise people who have the nerve to interrupt the tranquility in West Union. One thing's for
guaranteed, it's a creepy ghost that you would not want to bump into at the stroke of midnight.

A glowing human body has occasionally been perceived searching for a photo next to a parked vehicle in a West Union parking lot before dawn.

The ghost of a pregnant female is from time to time seen in a West Union area grocery store, wandering the aisles.

A headless gentleman has been said to have been spotted on one or two instances chucking bricks at Cedar Creek State Park.
