Eventually I got into bed with my grandmother and told her I was having trouble sleeping. That was an understatement! I never told my grandmother or anyone else what actually happened that night. I didn't Tell anyone for months. I didn't know how to understand it and I didn't know how to explain it to someone else. I distinctly Felt     that I was meant to hear those footsteps; that they were intended for me. I didn't understand why or how they could have been audible. I went into my brother's bedroom every chance that I could get at night. I hoped that I could explain away the footsteps. I hoped that the sound had travelled from my neighbor's house. No luck. Months passed and then one stormy Day I shared my Odd experience with my brother and our older sister (that did not live at home). My sister was surprised but laughed it off saying that we had a ghost in our creepy old house.
