Coden, Alabama Ghost Tales I was asleep a couple of years ago in my bedroom in Coden, Alabama and I heard a dog loudly barking outside my bedroom window. I thought it was my neighbors dog, but their dog is tied to a cable behind their home. I looked and nothing was there. It was scary. I wouldn't stop either.......it could be related to the dog that switches to the old woman... Some of the deceased will not stay underground in this town. Not everybody trusts in the reports the people who live here tell, but if you are fearless enough to spend a night in Coden, you may perhaps notice a phantom for yourself. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. The ghost of a jet pilot was witnessed in Bellingrath Gardens at midnight concealing a body by a sizeable boulder. There are additional reports about this spirit in the neighborhood. Some       of the folks here argue this ghost is the ghost of a vacationer that was murdered while traveling through Coden a long time ago. The ghost of a sturdy lumberjack grasping a sizeable axe appeared staring down into the water at Barron Point around midnight. Numerous sightings of this spirit have been described. According to the residents, this   phantom is that of a local who had a home here in Coden in the past. One thing's for sure, this is an unfriendly ghost that is better not messed with. A scary skeleton was made out reasoning mid stream in Austin Bayou. This spirit is exceptionally active in this area; there have been one or two other reports of this specific spirit. A glow-in-the-dark human form was perceived articulating into the thin air as if somebody besides was present. This is one of those ghosts that is observed time and again in the neighborhood. In any event, it undoubtedly is a frightening spirit that you do not want to meet in the early morning hours before sunrise. The spirit of a pregnant lady has often been observed staring through residence windows in Coden in the early morning hours before sunrise.
