Decatur, Alabama Ghost Tales | |

I use to live in dogwood apartments. I didn't believe in ghost before I lived there. F building where I lived, is haunted by a man and 2 children. Not only in my apartment but all 4 of them. Noisy toys seem to go off when no one is around to play with them. Some tenets have seen children a boy and a girl sitting on there stairs. One girl was doing her makeup in the upstairs bathroom and no one was home but her, and in the mirror she saw a little girl standing on the top stair looking at her when she turned around to see who was standing there the little girl vanished. I was in the shower one day, the doors were locked and the kids were gone so I was alone in my apartment, there was no way for anyone to get in. I heard a thump in my daughters room so I opened the shower curtain and called out ''who's here?'' and just as I said that a shadow of a man clear as day, walked from the direction of my daughter's room and glided by the bathroom door and walked strait into my bedroom. startled, I jumped out of the shower and ran to look in my room

There is a home on Grant Street S.E. that is haunted. My mom was painting on the back porch for a family friend and suddenly heard a piano playing, there was no one home so, she figured it was coming from a neighboring home. The owner of the home came home and she told him about what she had heard and his response was......It's my Grandmother playing the piano, she does it all the time. By daylight you may very well imagine Decatur, Alabama is precisely equal to any other municipality, but after sunset you may very well see some creepy things. Night time is living dead time in this place. People who have never stayed a day in this settlement will inform you it's superstition, but the undead souls of Decatur are all too real.
