Fyffe, Alabama Ghost Tales

I don't believe in Ghosts, but I have seen and even videotaped some strange lights in the night skies there. San Mountain is mysterious but lovely, the people are great and some of the best Moonshine I ever tasted was from nearby Grove Oak, where Hank Williams bought his last bottle. It tasted like a cross between Sake and Tequila, very smooth and made my ears warm. At Christam the local put Candy Canes in the Mason Jars for the Peppermint taste, my kind of ''Spirits''. The lights I saw were either very bright red and drifted or zig-zagged across the sky, and Once I videotaped a bright white orb about 100 feet in diameter tat pulsed across the sky and stopped on a dime before proceeding on it's way. I got 3 minutes of footage on a broadcast quality 3 CCD Sony camer, that was in 1990.

The bright hours in Fyffe, Alabama are equal to bright hours anywhere else, but this zone has a good share of ghosts. The phantoms of this municipality don’t leave anyone unscared. Folks who have never stayed

for the night in this municipality will laugh and say it's all just superstition, but the living dead may well show themselves to you if you spend a night in Fyffe.

These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently.

The ghost of an appallingly scorched lady may often be observed by Adams Branch scooping
  out an outlet.

The ghost of a train driver may be seen over and over again sipping water from Double Spring before sunrise. One thing is for sure, this is an unpleasant ghost that should be let alone.
