Gadsden, Alabama Ghost Tales There is this track out in the woods by my house it is said to be one of Alabama's 1st race tracks. There's a trail right next to the track that has bent over trees with leaves piled on top of them and it's almost pitch black dark inside even during the day. If you stop in the trail and don't make a noise you feel like your being watched , you hear weird and freaky noises , and see light streaks flying around all over the place. I've stopped in it before and and a tree almost fell on me and landed right behind me. Now I avoid going into the trail I always go the long way instead. There's a legend that's       been flowing around that before it was a graveyard it was a plantation. I heard somewhere that after a few slaves escaped, two others were hung on the property where the gate starts [I think there us to be a big tree there or something]. Whenever I go there, I don't ever hear any birds singing, and if they are they're not inside the cemetery. A lot   of my family is buried out there and people report their things disappearing if they leave it on the grave. [Could be thieves, but y'never know.] Also: There's a small, old as hell cemetery behind the mall in the back of the bird sanctuary. Its a very eerie place to be, though its usually covered in ivy and kudzu. Its hard to walk around and not expect to be bitten by a snake. Submitted by Christy       Category: cemetery Well this really isn't a ghost sighting, but I believe it involves the paranormal. My cousins live in Gadsden ( I, not far from there in a smaller town). They were walking in the woods and they came across a tombstone dating back to the 1800s. Both my cousins said they got chills and they lasted till they got out of the woods where it was. They later went back and took a picture with another one of my cousins and they all said they had the same chills as before. Plus, Nocalula falls is said to be haunted by the Indian girl nocalula who committed suicide over a man. Many say she walks at night.
