There's a legend that's been flowing around that before it was a graveyard it was a plantation. I heard somewhere that after a few slaves escaped, two others were hung on the property where the gate starts [I think there us to be a big tree there or something]. Whenever I go there, I don't ever hear any birds singing, and if they are they're not inside     the cemetery. A lot of my family is buried out there and people report their things disappearing if they leave it on the grave. [Could be thieves, but y'never know.] Also: There's a small, old as hell cemetery behind the mall in the back of the bird sanctuary. Its a very eerie place to be, though its usually covered in ivy and kudzu. Its hard to walk around and not expect to be bitten by a snake.
