I lived in the old House which was on the same side of the road as the church one mile toward Evergreen in the old Smith house. Originally the land belonged to the Brooks family: j. Sam and Martha brooks. The next place was the Stacy Homestead up toward cobbs grocery. Then over onto hwy.     31 the Cobb Homestead is a two Story House which the second Story stays very cold all the time. On more than one occasion several pair of red glowing eyes were seen peering into the breakfast nook windows after dark. The windows were somewhere between 12 to 15 feet from the ground. The eyes were seen by 4 generations of my family. The windows looked out over the back yard and a very large field. Yhere were no lights   (continued on the next page...)
