Montgomery, Alabama Ghost Tales | |
|
Academic Circle on Maxwell AFB is one of the little known haunted areas of Montgomery. It is said that many of the pilots that died during training (at then Maxwell Field) haunt the areas in and around the buildings at the center of the base.
Some of the sightings have been of actual ''floating'' entities while others are auditory in nature. Most notably people have heard gasping sounds along with creaking and sometimes even a voice that says ''can you hear me?''
Supposedly these are attributed to pilots who had crashed and were fighting to get out of the wreckage, or even fighting for their last breath. The upcoming ''Centenial of Flight'' seems to have awakened more and more of the activity, but there have been reports of this going on for as long as the base has been around. Obviously, since it is a military installation, there are very few witnesses that will come forward, and records are hard to come by. The good news is that these sightings have always been of a benign nature and no one has ever been hurt by them.

When I could write true events for hours on things but will only write my personal experience. When I was between 5-9 years old myself and 3 brothers shared a room upstairs. When it was summer it was warm because we didn't have central A/C. When I got Hot I would sleep on the floor next to my bed. one night I was on the floor and when I turned my head there was a little kid next to me that appeared to be asleep. It startled me and I jumped up yelling who is that and my brothers woke up I told them what had happened and they told me then some of their experiences. It wasn't scary then on, to hear someone walking down the stairs or hallway with no one there. It wasn't scary to see a person's face in the window when you came up to the house. One creepy thing was when I saw this kid looking in the mirror of the bathroom. Another was when he was calling my mom like he was scared. This ghost wasn't there to hurt anyone......Just existed for some reason later I found out a boy had died there years before fromsome illness. Sorry my grammar isn't
