In the daylight hours Mount Hope, Alabama is identical to any other American municipality, but undeparted spirits of the past in this municipality don't appear to be going to expire. Some people who live here claim there are no ghosts, but with so many ghosts in Mount Hope you have a quite fine chance of observing one if you stay an extra day in this place.

The ghost of a youthful cowboy can once in a while be distinguished throwing boulders into the stream at Atwood Branch on a dark night. A man who lives here asserts that this phantom is the phantom of a visitor that was killed while driving through Mount Hope some time ago.

The ghost of a gold-miner is frequently observed throwing chunks of concrete down at Cave Spring at night. One thing's for certain, it undoubtedly is a bloodcurdling spirit that you wouldn't want to come across on a dark night.

The ghost of a man in a police uniform may often be noticed glugging down blood from a beaker in Blue Spring Hollow around midnight. A number of of the folks who live in this town allege this ghost is that of a local resident
  who existed here in Mount Hope many years ago. Any which way, this is an intimidating ghost that you shouldn't go seeking.

The ghost of an elderly gentleman with a huge gray mustache can be seen time and again looking at the view from the summit of Macedonia Mountain on a dark night. It has been said that this individual ghost loves frightening unwise people who dare to disrupt the peace in Mount Hope.
