Comment by IrixGuy: Justin, you're the only person that I know of besides my parents, and I that have heard the scream. Have you heard the boots beside the car or the gasping for breath behind the car? Also did the scream sound as if it was right inside of your vehicle yet far away? Drop me an e-mail irixguy @gmail.com. I actually have a picture that I believe is an apparition and also an EVP that I'd like to share with you.
Comment by Batwood: Henrys Hill is not real . I know for a fact. My is family is from around there. And I know who made the legend .
It was a warm fall day in 1954 when Henry Hill a traveling salesman found himself lost on an obscure county road outside of Mount Hope Alabama. As Henry rounded a sharp curve heading north into town his Ford gave out from heat and he stopped at a strange dip in the road which was on the first open straightaway coming from the wooded mountain.
As Henry got out of his car and was about to decide that he needed to push his car out of the road he didn't notice another car approaching at a high rate of speed from behind. Some speculate it was a drunk driver that as he passed Henry swerved and hit him killing him instantly.|
Henry would have been fine if he'd just had time to push his car out of the way. However that is what Henry's spirit does today if anyone parks in the dip in the road where his car once stopped. Whether Henry's story happened that way or at all something very sinister and mysterious remains about that dip in the road.
That spot has been a source of oddities since the battle of Mount Hope took place there in 1863 and a strange recess in the ground appeared. In the early 1940's when county road 448 was being paved road crews could never keep the dip in the road filled.
