York, Alabama Ghost Tales


York, Alabama is just like any other place while the sun is up, but the spirit descriptions disclosed by the people who live here are enough to make anybody reconsider stopping by around here. Cabinets dance about, speech out of nowhere. Folks who have never stayed overnight in this town will tell you it's all myths, but not everyone of the dwellers of York are really alive.

These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently.

The ghost of an elderly woman gripping a rifle has supposedly been perceived on a few occasions by The Cutoff burning a box. A local person asserts that this phantom takes pleasure in scaring foolish people who come trying to locate phantoms in York. One thing's for sure, it sure is a scary spirit that you shouldn't go trying to locate.

The ghost of an aged Indian chief can regularly be spotted in a York area auto part store, wandering the aisles. Whichever way, this ghost sure is bloodcurdling; one that should be kept away from.

A dark rat that turned
 
    into a woman can be observed frequently down beside the water at F N Grant Lake trying to find a map.

The ghost of a dispossessed guy has once in a while been observed slurping orange juice in the middle of Bear Creek.

A creepy creature is sometimes spotted examining the view from the top of Alamuchee Hill before sunrise. In any case,
  this is an unpleasant phantom that is better not disturbed.

The spirit of a zinc-miner has supposedly been witnessed on a small number of occasions taking pleasure in the surroundings at Carolyn Dam after midnight. One of the residents strongly argues that this ghost could be the soul of a local person who died here in York many years ago.

A female with a partly translucent body can sometimes be spotted concealing a cadaver by a large rock in Sumter State Park late at night.
