Arcadia, Florida Ghost Tales | |

My grandparents have lived in this house for years. They say their is no ghost but we feel different. Today we thought a real ghost was here in our house. We thought about asking it questions. Now listen, there wasn't any one in the house except us. So, we asked it to show us a sign. Then the floor creaked and we were being as still as possible. Then my sister asked it again just to make sure. Then the floor creaked again and she started to cry, but only for ten seconds. Then we asked it if we could call it Duncan and said ''if its alright then poke us.'' Then we felt a poke on our legs. Then we went outside and Duncan kept pushing off our scooters. But now we are friends with him. IT IS AWSOME!!!!!! .

the kids in school used to talk about the Goat Hill Lights. Someplace outside of town is a woods and a field where balls of light appear and float. They said it only happened on the dark of the moon. Some people said it was the ghosts of the British pilots who died in training in the war. Anyone know if this was for real?.

When I lived in arcadia, fl. I lived on 14th street. Before my parents started renting the house, someone had died in the house in their sleep. We, my parents, brothers and I, heard the story about her a million times from our grandmother. We saw the woman who had died in the house a couple of times and heard door slams a hounded times a day. But she wasn't a harmful ghost either. It was freaky though! I'm sure that the people who now live in the house hear and see the same, or similar things. If you see her, it looks like a shadow, and if you turn around, or look around, there is no one with a shadow in that direction. Most people in the arcadia elementary school,

(about 6 or so years ago when this happened) have heard the same story.
