Comment by Christina: What you saw was probably a form of ball lightning, it's a natural phenomenon. I witnessed myself one night in a field laying down watching a meteor shower, it was a floating ball of light that sort of hovered and had a mind of it's own, came so close then just disappeared.
Comment by Tamara: Well just maybe it can be something ghost related, but who knows if you are out late a night there are chances you will meet up with something from another world.
Comment by Sam: I have lived in Clearwater all my life and there is no shortage of haunted buildings; as a resident and a believer who researches paranormal I find often that many spirits can sense relations between past loved ones and current residents. If you bing hauntings on Clearwater Beach look and see if there are any hauntings where you were or near.
They also need energy to appear and since we have no shortage of waves it is highly possible what you saw was paranormal phenomenon.

Only reason I'm writing this is because me and my wife have been experiencing so much paranormal activity tonight; it's not even scary anymore. We're just sitting here listening to creeks and cracks with no explanation lights flickering and doors shutting.
Long story short my father in law just bought a house overlooking lake Bellvue here in Clearwater. It's an older house but it's waterfront and it was cheap. We've been here 5 days and haven't experienced any paranormal activity (that we noticed...
