My father used to take us to see the ghost light since I was a little girl.. He used to Tell us about the legend that went with it. My dad was born in the 30's and he said he was in the 5th grade the first time he saw it.. The Story behind the ghost light is this.... A rich Man buried his valuables out there to hide it from     the yankee soldiers who would steal anything of value from a southerner during the civil war.. He was killed looking for his things and the light is him still searching.. This light was a bright light and was called the ghost light that you would see when driving on the back roads to ft. Meade Florida.
