Hurlburt Field, Florida Ghost Tales Duke Field FL, The base and forest areas around it are filled with local folklore. There is a man that wanders the dirt roads and intersections south of Duke Field talking to himself as if he is angry and looking for something. It is believed that he was a hunter that was hit by a truck while looking for the trail to his deer hunting site. There has been accounts of military personnel and hunters where the man has asked them questions like who are you, and what are you doing here. There is also a story about a little girl that roams the creeks that separate this area. Not much is known about the background       of the story, only that you can hear crying and a little girl's voice crying out for her mommy. It is unknown what the intention or the mentality of these spirits is. Submitted by anonymous At   Duke Field there is a range where TACP students an Army Rangers use for day an night land nav. There are points at most intersections on the range. At one point there has been sightings of a man who walks around the intersection looking for someone an talking to himself. One student had someone come up to him ask him a question, the students turned away an looked at the man an he was gone.
