Lakeland, Florida Ghost Tales Two sightings occured at my parents old house in north Lakeland. They lived in the blue house on Alondra Court for about 25 years. One night my brother-in-law walked out of my sister's bedroom and standing in the hallway was a man that appeared to be a civil war soldier (at least that's how my brother-in-law described him). After a few seconds the man disappeared. The second incident was while I was putting my then 2 1/2 year old daughter to bed. I was laying in the bed with her, me facing the wall and her facing the door (facing each other). Twice she said ''get out of my room'' I asked her if she was talking to me and she said no, she was talking to the man at the bedroom door. Her and I were alone in the house at the time. Submitted by Lisa When we rented a house in Lakeland on 40 acres 13 years ago off Old Polk City Rd. 2 of my children saw a woman ghost crying at our kitchen table. Late into the night I and a friend who lived with us at the time heard what sounded like a woman screaming out in the woods surrounding the house.       We moved. someone told us they later tore the house down and sold the property. One thing is for certain, it's undeniably a chilling ghost that is preferably not upset. The ghost of a young lady covered in blood has been witnessed on a few instances on a Lakeland residential street late in the night. A gentleman with a big hole through his upper body can regularly be witnessed gazing at a man sleeping in a bed in a house in Lakeland. A female's body with a horse's head may be distinguished frequently struggling to hide a dead body in South Bear Branch around midnight. One of the people who live here steadfastly asserts that this phantom might be a distinguished yesteryear resident of Lakeland.
