Lakeland, Florida Ghost Tales | |

My family and I lived at a house on Hibriten Way which runs between S. Fla Ave and Lake Hollingsworth. My son and I both saw full body apparitions. I saw a lady in a housecoat walking down the hall and my son saw a man at the front door dressed in period clothing from the late 1800's. My wife experienced strange feelings especially out back by the pool and my daughter constantly saw shadows moving through the hall back by the bedroom. It was quite unnerving to live there and I am convinced the house is haunted. We sold the house about three years ago and the present owner will be leaving soon saying it is too noisy to live there with the traffic noise from S. Fla Ave. I don't buy it.

I've lived in a place on Reynolds rd were I would have covers pulled of me at night. My TV would turn off by it self lots of cold spots my dog would not step foot in that room... I had friends stay and would get freaked out… And would heard foot steps and felt

instantly felt unwelcome. I continued to explore the grounds not ignoring the feeling but trying to assist in easing the negative. Needless to say it didn't work. What ever is there is dark, angry and unforgiving. I felt sick to my stomach the remainder of the evening. The presence is still there.

When I was only little we still lived in my old house. Most nights after I was tucked into bed, I would come out and complain to my mom that a little boy wouldn't let me go to sleep. It was me, my mom and dad, and my sister living in the house at the time. If I never played with him he would always get mad a me. No one else in my family ever saw him.

Down Sheppard rd. pass the church and you will see someone looking back at you out of the top window at night. From there if you go down Hancock rd. and you will be chased by black dogs. A couple of friends and I have made the trip several

times even stopping at the graveyard across the street and next to the church where we've seen a blue flame hovering over a grave. We've seen orbs, and I heard a sound hard to describe but it was like something was bubbling out of the ground and after a girl sitting with me in the car and I both saw a shadowy figure come running out of the graveyard and toward my friend. I jumped out of the car and ran to him while screaming for him to run to me before I reached him it disappeared and he said as soon as he heard the girl and I yell; he felt someone running up behind him and of course was not gonna look back.
