Then it dawned on us there was no-one there to be cooking. Very strange!.

I lived in a house built in the 1940's on the west side of Pensacola. It was near the naval air station. I noticed that the window in my guest room would be opened when I'd go into the room sometimes.
I would proceed to close and lock it. When I asked my sister who lived in that room for a year why she kept opening the window she said I'm not! I thought you were! The other strange occurrence happened one afternoon when I was home alone sitting in my den.|
From the den I had a clear view of the living room and the front door. I looked up from the magazine I was reading and saw a small statured older man standing in front of the door with his hand on the knob.
The man was dressed in kacki pleated pants and a plaid short sleeved shirt. His hair was thinning and 'slicked back'. He looked like he could've walked right out of the 1940's or 50's. I was so shocked and I gasped audibly.
