Tarpon Springs, Florida Ghost Sightings - PAGE 3
(...continued from the previous page)|
This is going to take awhile. This list has c. L. Webster who was the earliest burial in tarpon... In 1872. I have a long job ahead of me so any info would be appreciated. It is still on the market for purchase.
If someone buys the farm their they will throw the house in for free. Seems odd since the house is values around 200k. They separated it from the origional land be splitting the area off the farm...
As they have been unable to sell it
with the house as part of the sale. There is a church less that 20 feet from the side of the property. I believe the house is set halfway in to the property...
As far as I can see from the satalitte view and the pictures of the property found on a number of real estate pics.|
Hope you can help...

Comment by Robert: The first church in Tarpon Springs was established in 1885. Lafayette Webster was the minister. When he was a young man he wrote the song ''Lorena. '' it was a popular song during the American Civil War.
Local people say that the old parsonage (minister's home) is haunted by a friendly spirit. Sometimes you can hear a woman's voice singing ''Lorena. '' neighborhood people don't worry about the ghost.
