In one Section of the old Hall looking down into a den that was added on 40-50 years after the original construction a shadowy form often appears to people who are alone in the den. This form often walks down the Hall and into the back room of the original building in the periphery of one's vision but disappears when faced straight on. Several times     when distracted by a chore I have thought it was my husband or son walking by and called out to them Only to go look into the room and find it empty. Guests from other states who had no knowledge of this apparition have chosen the room to sleep in and asked to be moved to another on subsequent nights because they feel as though someone is watching them or is actually in the room but not speaking when spoken to.
