Custom Search Andersonville, Georgia Ghost Sightings Andersonville PAGE 1   2     Many years ago when I was a Young lady I visited Andersonville with my family. We were listening to a Ranger talk in the old Welcome Center when I looked over in the corner and saw a very sad Young man standing there. I was shocked by his appearance and wondered why he would come to visit such a place in such a state of disarray. Then I began to notice that I this Young man did not exist below the knees. He looked at     me and I believe he realized at that Point I saw him. He gave me a weak sad smile and then basically dissolved in front of my eyes. I was shocked but Felt extremely sad. How sad he was... That was over 30 years ago but I think about that experience quite often. I had nightmares for several nights after hearing all the stories of the Camp and did not return to the Andersonville historic site for 25 years. I did not see my poor friend upon my return but the sadness was still there. Still there... True Story and not one that I share very often. Submitted   (continued on the next page...)
