Athens, Georgia Ghost Tales I saw 2 real white pale  ghosts , even one called out my name by saying come Linda come and she kept repeating as she walked threw the hall way in the house until she got to my door way of my bedroom, I was sitting on my bed. Then she waved her hand as if she wanted me to follow her, she was very well dressed up like a religion person, then this male ghost well dressed came up behind her as if he wanted her to come back with him. I was thinking that the lady came to me like she was trying to tell me where she was either killed or had died at. but I was to scared to follow her. because I didn't really know what she was up to, wanting me to follow her, they both were as white as a sheet of white paper.  More happened that night, this is just the short part of it. It happened off the Tallassee road, believe to have been turkey creek road and I thought she must had died many years before this. ANYWAY I NEVER WANTED TO GO BACK TO THAT HOUSE AGAIN AND I DID'NT. Paintings slide about, cries out of the thin air. Several folks who live here assert these accounts are lies, but a trip to Athens, Georgia will make anybody believe. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. A   gentleman with the head of a beast is rumored to have been observed on a small number of occasions pacing through a flat outside Athens. Any which way, it's a scary ghost that should be stayed away from. A partially decayed human cadaver can often be noticed in Whitehall Forest at the stroke of midnight camping. In any case, it's undoubtedly a creepy spirit that is rather not messed with. A lady in flames, carrying a gas container can be seen time and again in Athens Memorial Park around midnight concealing a dead body by a large boulder. Several of the locals say this ghost is the stressed spirit of a long departed Athens person who lived here. The ghost of a young air force pilot has sometimes been witnessed walking through an Athens vicinity cemetery. A young girl wearing a blood-splattered prom dress is every now and then distinguished mid stream in Barber Creek trying to say something. It's been alleged that this individual ghost is the ghost of a vacationer that was killed while driving through Athens many years ago.
