Avera, Georgia Ghost Tales


In the day the residents in Avera, Georgia do their thing exactly like anywhere other, but underneath the surface there are extraordinary things occurring.   Creek after midnight. A local resident claims that this ghost can be the soul of a local person who passed on here in Avera some time ago. One thing's for guaranteed, it is certainly a frightening phantom that should be shunned.

The ghost of a youthful man dressed in a denim jacket may often be observed at Blankenship Pond Dam in the early morning hours before sunrise throwing chunks of concrete.

A decapitated gentleman can be witnessed repeatedly very late at night pursuing a passing VW on a gloomy highway outside Avera. One of the local residents determinedly alleges that this ghost may perhaps
be a distinguished former time native of Avera. Nonetheless, this spirit sure is frightening; one that you wouldn't wish to meet on a dark night.

A woman with her legs sliced off has occasionally been observed in the backseat of a Buick by the driver distinguishing the phantom in her rear view mirror late at night. Some of the people who live in this town argue this ghost is almost certainly the stressed ghost of a local resident who used to have a house here in Avera.
