I have not been to Brunswick Georgia since my grandmother died about 30 years ago. My grandmother lived out in the country because she was not what you would call a very sociable person after my grandfather passed away. I would stay two weeks or more with my grandmother just about every summer. My grandmother always grew many flowers and had a small strawberry patch every year. I was playing with my doll one day near my grandmothers hibiscus when I heard a very faint cough. I saw three tiny people about 8 inches tall looking at me from behind a red hibiscus. They were dressed in loose fitting green sheer clothing. I peered through the hibiscus at them and saw they had made a sled out of sticks and had a string attached to the sled.
The tiny sled had two ripe strawberries on it and they were trying to run and pull the sled behind them. I ran into the house and told my grandmother what I had saw. She sat me down and gave me a cold glass of lemonade. Then she told me the tiny people had always been there. When my grandfather was alive he grew some sweet peas one year and had caught the little people Harvesting peas one day. After that my grandfather always grew a few sweet peas so that the little people would have something to eat. My grandmother loved strawberries and saw them one day dragging a strawberry. Grandmother said that the little people were her and grandfathers secret and they never mentioned it to anyone else up until I had accidently discovered them. I know that it's a big world with a lot left to be discovered but you can believe my story or not because I do not care one way or the other.

I have lived here for 2 years and love the history of Brunswick. I was researching the history of my house on George St. And found the obituary of the man who built my house. Judge d. W. Krauss and I decided to look at his gravesite.
I found it at Oak Hill (I think that's the name of the cemetery). I love historic cemeteries and decided to walk around and look at the old and beautiful carvings on the tomb stones. I finally felt like I was being watched and knowing the neighborhood I looked around but instead of seeing a possible mugger - I saw a badly tattered apparition of a little girl.
