Carnesville, Georgia Ghost Tales I live in Carnesville close to the courthouse. The house I live in is well over 100 years old. Sometimes late at night I can almost swear that I am not alone. On several occasions I have spotted something standing over my husband. I wasn't in the room with him at these times. I’ve only seen this in passing. I’m not sure if it's just my eyes playing tricks on me or not. I do know though that since I’ve begun noticing these shadows my husband hasn't been the same. It’s as if something or someone is trying to make him someone he's not. I have heard that someone was either killed or died in my home. I       also know that one night I fell asleep in my sons room and as I was sleeping something shook me touched my hip and shook me so hard that I woke up and looked down to see who was trying to wake me up and   no one was there. My boys and I were also home alone one night when we heard something outside the door make a real loud almost growling like sound. (It didn't sound like any animal I had ever heard before) it sounded human. As soon as I heard this I jumped up to look outside when all of the sudden our satellite box turned itself off. I never found out how this happened or what made that terrible growling sound and I’m not sure if what I’m seeing standing beside my husbands side of the bed is actually there or if it's just my imagination. The only thing I am really sure of is that something did awaken me from a deep sleep that night.
