When I was 8 years old I lived in Willow Creek Apartments on Buena Vista Drive Apartment number 150. Well my mother passed on Jan 27. The day after funeral around 3 am I saw her pass near my room. The distinct smell of white diamonds perfume was there when she looked at me and passed by the room to my dad's room. When I went to look out the hallway it was completely empty.

This happened in the Lakebottom neighborhood at a duplex from the 1920s or before. Right after we moved in, the house alarm started randomly going off for no reason. We called the alarm company, and they told us where the kill switch was. That fixed it for a day or so. Then it started going off again. We called them back, and they told us where to cut the electrical power to the alarm. That fixed it for a day or so. Then it started going off again. We called them back, and they said there may be a battery back-up, so while we were on the phone with them, we pulled the battery and all the wires from the alarm. It continued to go off.

We had them come out and uninstall it. No more shrieking alarm. Sometime during all this, we kept hearing footsteps in the attic. We knew it wasn't us, and the guy on the other side of the duplex swore it wasn't him, but they were clearly footsteps, not squirrels. There were not bats, feet in boots or something heavy, walking around in the attic. There was no explanation for that one.

Then we had a series of exploding lamps. We had a pair of torch style lamps with glass shades. I had to keep replacing the shades while we lived there. I came home from work one day and found one smashed. I blamed the cats for the first one.

Then one time I came home from work for lunch and walked through the dining room to the front porch to get the mail. Everything was fine. I brought the mail back in, and in the space of that minute that I was on the front porch, everything changed. The lamp was now standing upright. The light bulb was intact, but the shade had exploded. There was glass everywhere. I had heard nothing at all while I was getting the mail. I spent my lunch hour vacuuming shards of glass out of the dining room rug.
