had blown so hard that there were long shards of glass embedded in the woodwork in the dining room. Anyone in the room with it would have been seriously injured.
It was about this time that we decided that the house was definitely haunted. The last explosion happened while the light was off. The lamp was upright. The bulb was intact, but another $140 shade shot to hell. Cats were with us. Got to be haunted.
Then the next thing that happened

was one that seriously weirded me out. In the middle of the afternoon one weekend my husband and I decided to spend the time relaxing at home, so there

we were in bedroom. I looked up, and the ceiling fan was starting to move on its own. We both ran out of the bedroom screaming. The ceiling fan gained a little speed but then stopped a minute or two later. After that I think we just decided to turn the fan on and leave it on for the next year or so. (Hey, it was creepy. I'd rather waste the electricity than see that happen at the wrong moment.)
We started talking about getting an electrician
