I got onto the entity and told it not to act that way, a suggestion from my mom. Her and my father have had a lot of experiences. It did get better. I have had a few encounters since then in various places. Amazing. Submitted by Faye

The old landmark building in downtown Dalton is said to be haunted. It originated as a hotel built in the late 1800s and then it burned down around 1911. Another hotel was rebuilt in its place but it has since served several different purposes over the years.

It currently holds various offices for local businesses. I know several people who work for the local utility company who say they've had experiences in the basement. On several different maintenance calls each of them experienced a whole slew of strange things including the sense of being watched doors slamming shut behind, and in front of them when there was absolutely no draft and a couple of them say they were actually grabbed by an unseen entity sending them literally running out of the place vowing to never go back.

Now if a maintenance call comes in for landmark they draw straws to see which unlucky person is going to have the next creepy experience!. Submitted by Ellen

I grew up in Murray county in the home of my grandfather. It was an old house but not really creepy. The first time I saw a ghost I was about 6 years old. It was a lady in our attic wearing a light blue dress with a high collar long sleeves and ankle length.
