Ellijay, Georgia Ghost Tales    This picture was taken in the tilly bend church cemetery around 1 a.m. Tilly Bend is a church that is known in Ellijay and blue ridge for being haunted there are allot of stories about it, from ghost to a witches grave in the top left corner of the cemetery.  This picture has a orb that is floating above the ground a few inches. It is centered above and between the two bottom stones.  I'll let this picture speak for itself, as for the area I have seen other things (that I have witnesses that were with me and they seen them too) that are very strange in that area, not ghost but something. the first time I seen them we were camping and one ran through the camp their not big. just strange and very fast. My friends and I have been there since and have concluded they come out for curiosity not menace. If your looking for something like that check out that area.  go to blue ridge, ga. to ask rd., left on shallow ford bridge, bear rt., take left fork for the church and right for the campground.  Between the campground and just before the church watch the woods you may see them. If you do go there please respect the church grounds and whatever is there and don't disturb anything. - Ghost picture submitted by S. I have been touched one time and it was unsettling to say the least! We have also had to get rid of my daughters stereo because it kept turning on by itself at odd times. The undeparted are here in this settlement   as the residents will say to you. A number of residents claim there are no ghosts, but anybody who has spent the night in Ellijay, Georgia knows better. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. A big creepy ghost may every now and then be distinguished cutting grass in the yard of a home in Ellijay. People here who have distinguished this ghost assert this ghost loves terrifying foolhardy people who come looking for ghosts in Ellijay. No matter what, it's a bloodcurdling ghost that should be left alone. The phantom of a young guy having on a confederate uniform was spotted by a woman fishing by a lake close to Ellijay. When the observer appeared the spirit ran off. Residents allege that this spirit can be the soul of a person who lived here who died here in Ellijay in the past. The ghost of a street bum emerged hauling a body across the ground in Gilmer Fairground before sunrise. The appearance of the eye witness terrified the spirit who then disappeared. Whatever folks verbalize, it in all certainty is a chilling ghost that you would not want to come across before dawn.
