Several years ago, someone stole several truck loads of large rocks from a haunted property in Flowery Branch. What may have appeared to be a bunch of nice landscaping rocks were actually grave marker stones.
Prior to the completion of the Buford Dam, the grave stones were first located at burial sites/cemetaries in the valley. Prior to the valley flooding, (that created Lake Lanier), the remains, and their stones,

were moved to a church cemetery in Buford, Many years later, when the church replaced the stones with mower friendly flat markers, a church

member, who'd been voluntarily mowing the cemetery's grass for many years, asked, and was given, the stones. It took the church member, (deceased since 1988), days of hard work, and several trips in his pickup truck, to get the stones home. He stacked the majority of them into a long flower bed, at the edge of his property. To the individual(s) who have the stones, whether you personally took them, or obtained them from someone
