Gainesville, Georgia Ghost Tales    Interesting photo I took in front of a church in Gainesville. At first glance, it looks like some smoke worked its way in front of the lens. But, there were no fires about, no passing vehicles, no smoke-emitting equipment in use nearby, and finally...I don't smoke. So, not sure what it is, but it is quite curious. - Ghost picture submitted by JW BIGGER SIZE PICTURE HERE       Category: church In a restaraunt on Green St. there is a ghost of a little girl. This building used to be a children's phyciatrist's office before it was a restaraunt. The legend is that the little girl was a really messed up kid. She had skitzophrenia. Everytime she would go for counseling,  she said ''the demons are with me again''. She would play with bouncy balls and tinker toys upstairs and in the basement. The doctor worked with her for years, but nothing changed. Then one day, she came in for a session. She freaked out and running around the building. The doctors and nurses couldn't contain her. Then she fell over and died. You can go back after hours and still hear her bouncy balls bouncing down the stairs, doors opening and footsteps all over the building. I couldn't get up, it felt like something was holding       me down. I turned my head and saw my dead husband. ''Hi'' he said. ''Bu....Bu...but you are dead!!!!'' I said. '' I know'',he said,''I wanted to check on you.'' I then forced myself up and ran downstairs. I never sleep upstairs now! But now I am moving and hopefully my new home will be ghost-free! :). Well, it's without a doubt a bloodcurdling spirit that you wouldn't want to come across in the early morning hours before sunrise. A decapitated man may often be distinguished drifting along on Ada Creek before dawn. The ghost of a surgeon with a blood-splattered uniform can be spotted very often taking pleasure in the panorama at Brenau Lake Dam very late at night.
