Comment by Amanda: I'm pretty sure that house you're talking about was the old Haisten Funeral Home and it was a Civil War hospital way before that. I dropped by there to take photos one night for a project and there was came sudden howling winds and bats a sort of poltergeist! I have some eerie photos and some footage.
I've written a memoir about the house.

I've lived in Griffin, GA all my life and stayed in the same house for years. I always looked for our ghost. I took a voice recorder and asked how many ghost were in this house, and I got a young girl voice saying eight. I kept on and got some really good EVPs. I saw a lot of things at my house, and my paranormal group checked it out. We are out of business for a while, but in a while we will be up and running.

My family rented a home on Tilney Ave in Griffin, GA back in 2001. We loved the layout of the home and the fact that it had an in-law suite in the backyard. We though that it would be perfect for when we had guest come stay over. Well, about a month after we moved in, my wife kept asking me why I kept moving things around in the Kitchen. I told her that was her room and I knew better than to mess with anything in there. We asked the kids if they were doing it and they said they weren't. We believed them because our daughter was only 4 and our son was only 5 so we knew they couldn't reach the cabinets. We didn't have a step stool, so knew that wasn't an option.
Then one day I came home from work and our loaf of bread was in the middle of the kitchen floor. I didn't think anything about it so I picked it up and put it back on the countertop. The very next day, the loaf of bread was back in the middle of the kitchen floor. I picked it up and placed it on top of our fridge so I knew the kids couldn't reach it. A few days went by and the bread stayed on top of the fridge. But then that weekend, my wife asked me why I left the bread in the middle of the floor. I told her I hadn't touched the bread since I placed it on top of the fridge but I had seen the bread on the floor two days that week.
