I and my husband live in Hazlehurst. We use to live on Tommy Harrell rd. This is just off the Altamaha,Rd. we often would hear shomething shuffling it's feet late at night in our home. On one other occasion when we had friends over, something sat down on the sofa making an indention right between me and my best friend, then on another night, I was up late cooking for a family get together and the t.v channels started flipping by themselves. We also would notice several time as we were driving home an errie fog only in one part of the road. I think the scariest was the night when I had gotten up in the middle

of the night to get a drink of water and turned around and saw a man propped up against by bedroom door. When I screamed running for my husband the man dissapeared. These things went on the whole time

we lived there and I have wittnesses to back it up. P.S. If you want another really haunted place in Hazlehurst you need to go visit Spells mansion.

Daylight in Hazlehurst, Georgia is just equal to day anywhere else in America, but the ghost stories disclosed by the folks who live here are sufficient to make anyone reconsider making a stop in this town. There have been many events with beings from another world. Some folks who live here allege these reports are untrue, but the things that occur here in Hazlehurst in the night time will frighten you.

The ghost of an elderly gold digger with a sizeable beard and a wooden left leg is frequently seen playing a melody on a
harpsichord in a Hazlehurst building. A man who lives here declares that this ghost is that of a local resident who had a home here in Hazlehurst a long time ago.
The spirit of an elderly lady
grasping a firearm has been said to have been witnessed on a few occasions in a mirror in a Hazlehurst mobile home; the phantom was only noticeable in the mirror.
