The undead are living in this town as the residents will say to you. Folks who have never stayed overnight in this town will tell you it's a pack of lies, but the things that happen here in Jesup during the dark hours will spook you. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. A lady with a moderately translucent body may be spotted often discussing into the thin air in the center of Coleman Branch. The phantom of a security guard with a bullet hole in his forehead has every so often been observed having a seat on a couch in a mobile home       in Jesup. Lots of residents say this ghost is the ghost of a visitor that was murdered while journeying through Jesup long ago. The phantom of a man dressed in an armed forces uniform is occasionally witnessed hauling a cadaver across the dirt in Bill Morris Recreation Park late in the night. A woman with a knife sticking out of her head   has purportedly been noticed on one or two instances attempting to conceal a corpse in Millikin Bay in the early morning hours before sunrise. The spirit of a female with a sack bound around her head was perceived late at night heading a directed tour of Buggs Bluff to a cluster of ghosts. When the ghost was spotted it faded away into the night. A semi transparent guy dressed as the captain of a oil tanker emerged gazing at the water by Rayonier Lake Dam at midnight. The spirit was ingested by the thin air after being distinguished. A big bloodcurdling spirit was made out bass fishing from the water's edge of Cross Lake in the early morning hours. When seen the ghost moved toward the watcher who then fled. Whichever way, this is an unsympathetic ghost that is preferably not disturbed. The ghost of a shackled up man showed up terrifying folks under a lamppost in Jesup. This individual spirit has been observed often in this area. The ghost of a young woman drenched in blood was perceived at Cole Eddy in the early morning hours staring down into the water.
