A man who lives here alleges that this ghost enjoys startling foolish folks who are courageous enough to upset the calm in Morganton.

A terrifying creature may now and then be distinguished at Blue Ridge Dam at the stroke of midnight taking in the vista. In any event, it undoubtedly is a terrifying spirit that any wise person wouldn't wish to run into.

The spirit of a man dressed
as a gardener was witnessed carrying a human headbone on the shore of Blue Ridge Lake. Frightened by the watchers the ghost vanished into the darkness.

The ghost of a gentleman dressed in a law enforcement uniform materialized in Blue Ridge Lake Recreation Area around midnight concealing a dead body by a big rock. When perceived the ghost came close to the bystander who then escaped. Several of the people who live in this town claim this spirit may be the spirit of a local resident who passed away here in Morganton before the present.

The ghost of a security guard with a bullet hole in his forehead was seen floating by on Beck Branch at night. There have been numerous descriptions about this ghost in the vicinity.

The ghost of an old man with a long gray mustache became visible by Free Bend attempting to grasp something. Many accounts of this ghost have been described. No matter what, this is a hostile ghost that you shouldn't go trying to locate.
