Statesboro, Georgia Ghost Sightings
I kept looking for the ghost road, but I can never find it.|

We live on Echo Way. Something categorically dark is in this area. When we bought our home a few years ago, I had an experience with a large dog. Twice it scared me, but it was not 'there'. In my home I have had the TV cabinets opened wide when nobody was around. My son has seen the lady in black (he was very little at the time, and after many questions we were able to determine he was trying to describe a nun. ) This 'nun' was pacing around his bed one night and had an upside down crucifix. My daughter, and I have both seen a little boy (about six years old) on the second floor on several different occasions.
I have seen a brunette woman several times. I have heard coughing when nobody was home except me, balls bouncing, door knobs turning, and have had my clothes tugged on many times. I have had 'it' actually run what felt like long bony fingers down me many times at night. What has helped (it has actually been pretty quiet lately) was to walk through each room saying 'Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. ' I also wear a bracelet with St. Benedict emblem. My daughter and her friends had a creepy experience in some woods close to our house. It was too long a story, but it freaked me out. There was also a murder-suicide on the next street over just a couple of years ago. This neighborhood used to be a plantation, so there is no telling what sort of history is here.

Two separate real estate clients of mine told me about two separate incidents while they lived in Statesboro, Georgia. One told me about a dirt road that college kids would drive down at night to see a shadow figure of a man they said you would swear was digging in the middle of the road with a shovel. One night, they got out of their car, which was parked in the middle of the road with its head lights still on. They all saw the apparition digging. They were all arm in arm and slowly walking toward the figure when it stopped digging and turned toward them. Of course, they all freaked out and ran.
In another incident, a client told me that one mid-week evening after 10:00 pm or so, he and his girlfriend at the time were returning home to a house in which he rented a room. He said the house had parking in the back, and you had to drive under a little stone drop off area or portico. Sitting there on the outside wall of the drop off, facing away from the house, he saw a young girl about ten or eleven wearing older period clothing. She had long blonde hair. He said his first inclination was to ask why she was out so late on a school night and he wondered where her parents were. He parked his car within seconds and immediately got out and turned in the girl's direction, and she was gone. He then said out loud ''where did she go?'' That was when his girlfriend said ''you saw her too?''. They were both convinced they saw a spirit of some sort.
He is a university police officer now here in Georgia. I have never seen or experienced a ghost that I know of, but I hear so many stories like this from otherwise rational sane people. Makes me go hmm... And feel jealous. My main ghost goal is to find truly haunted places in Georgia and visit them with other enthusiasts I have come to know simply by bringing up the subject form time to time at work or at social gatherings. Seems like more people than not have some credible story. Know of any places in or around GA that are for real and not just some silly spooky place?.
