Tybee Island, Georgia Ghost Tales    Recently my husband and I visited Tybee Island, Ga. We went to the light house. We went in the light keepers house and took pictures. To our surprise, We think we have captured the little girl ghost that is being talked about on this page. No one was present when I took this picture of my husband. There was an odd picture of a man and his daughter and even faded it looks like the same girl That I also took from a photo in the house. She is located in the lower left cabinet. We also have another photo to post. and to our suprise, We also have pictures that resemble these ghost figures. I have never seen anyone on hwy 80 however my aunt that lives in Tybee said a young couple was killed in a wreck on hwy 80 going into Tybee about 10  years ago. Submitted by Shelly       Categories: wreck, couple This happened to me and my husband about 5 years ago, when we were first engaged. The sun was just setting as we drove back from home from Tybee, going east on Highway 80. There was still a little light in the sky and a little ground mist rising from the Sound on either side of the road. The road itself was very dark, and there are no streetlights at all. I confess that we had smoked a joint some       time before. In the distance I saw someone walking the center line, caught by the headlights beam. My fiance was driving and I told him immediately that someone was in the road. Only a crazy person would move slowly if forced to cross highway 80. My fiance slowed down to about 30 miles an hour. Now things get confused. I first saw the guy walking   the road, he was young, and dressed in the 'slacker' style of Generation X. We both saw him clearly, and he was skinny, tall but not too tall, with a long blond pony tail. He wore a gold t-shirt and red athletic shorts, both very baggy. And then I saw the girl, she looked right in my window. She had short black hair and was thin. She wore a khaki dress, with a wrap waist and a palm leaf motif. My God...her face! Her eyes were huge and gray and wide and staring, almost popping out! Her mouth was slack. My first thought was oh my God! She's in shock. There's been an accident or she's been molested. She looked that real. Looked around no car no wreck. And then it dawned on both of us. There was no way that those people could have looked in our window for as long as they did. We were going 30 miles an hour. And it was dark, how could we see them so clearly. Not with our headlights when they were looking in our windows. And no other cars were coming or behind us. We realized we were had seen ghosts. I personally think maybe they wrecked while driving DUI and were trying to either warn us or cause us to wreck. Maybe it was a case of like calling to like.
