Washington, Georgia Ghost Tales

Walking to the old walking park behind the court house we saw a tall white figure pacing along parallel with us. Knowing something was wrong we decided to run, The figure kept up with us until we got to the court house. later that day we had to walk down the same path and as we aproached the bottom nothing happened until when one of us felt a sharp blow to the head while the other felt something trying to grab him.

The ghost of a man in a field on Hill Street sees to be carrying a old fishing pole, with overalls and a straw hat, he appears to be around 60 years old.
 
    many witnesses have seen him and talked to him. They say after the conversation he walks away and dissapears on sight.

There's not a thing extraordinary on the subject
  of Washington, Georgia during the daytime, but some long gone folks from yesteryear have come back here. Furniture move about, speech from the night. Not everybody believes in the reports the people who live here tell, but if you dare to spend a night in Washington, you may perhaps observe a ghost for yourself.

These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently.

The ghost of an elderly man with a long white beard was perceived looking crossly at the onlooker in Ranger Stadium before dawn. When the witness came into sight the phantom ran off. In any event, this ghost
certainly is chilling; one that is better not messed with.

A woman with a machete sticking out of her head appeared taking a rest at the dining table in a Washington home. The arrival of the eye witness terrified the ghost who then faded away. Some of the folks here declare this ghost could be the spirit of a local resident who passed away here in Washington in the past. Whatever people state, this is an unpleasant ghost that you wouldn't want to meet at midnight.

The ghost of a female with a sack strapped around her head was spotted in a wild location near Washington. The ghost mumbled about revenging a killing. If you talk to the people who live here, this ghost could be a famous yesteryear inhabitant of Washington.

A big menacing ghost appeared hauling a corpse from the cold water of Armstrong Branch after midnight. The bystander was terrified and escaped.

The spirit of a youthful gentleman in a confederate uniform was witnessed taking pleasure in the vista at Beaverdam Creek Dam before dawn. The ghost did not appear to be anxious by the watchers. According to what the folks who live here say, this ghost is probably the undead ghost of a resident who used to dwell here in Washington.

The ghost of a bum was made out sending a box at a Washington post office. When the phantom was distinguished it vanished into the night. Folks here who have distinguished this ghost declare this ghost is the struggling spirit of a long departed Washington local person.

The spirit of a young woman covered in blood has frequently been observed munching on a steak in Bobby Brown State Park near the park headquarters. One thing is for certain, it undoubtedly is a frightening ghost that you shouldn't go trying to locate.

The ghost of an old witch is frequently made out downing regular unleaded from a gas pump at a refueling station in Washington.

A guy with a large hole through his upper body has been perceived on several occasions walking a Great Dane in the early morning hours on a shadowy Washington residential road. Locals claim that this spirit is the spirit of a visitor that was murdered while driving through Washington some time ago.
