Waverly, Georgia Ghost Tales


In the daylight hours the people who live here in Waverly, Georgia perform their tasks exactly equal to anywhere other, but this town is the property of the living dead when the sun has gone below the horizon. Things go on here that can't be explained. Folks who have never stayed overnight in this city will laugh and say it's a pack of lies, but frightening things undeniably go on here in Waverly during the moonlight hours.

These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently.

The spirit of a miner has supposedly been made out on a small number of occasions late at night drifting along Bearskull Creek. Many residents declare this phantom is probably the tormented phantom of a resident who used to dwell here in Waverly.

A lady with a somewhat translucent body can once in a while be noticed heading a directed tour of Halfmoon Bluff to a company of ghosts before dawn.

The ghost of a security guard with a bullet hole in his forehead was perceived twinkling a kerosene lamp in Fancy Bluff
 
    Park before dawn. The ghost mentioned revenging a murder.

The ghost of a guy dressed in an army outfit materialized in a home in Waverly. The watcher freaked out and fled.

A female with a machete sticking out of her head came into view in Laurel Grove in the early morning hours carving a nook in the soil. The phantom did not seem to be worried by the observers.
